I appreciate the parameters. My Alk is higher at around 10.5 and everything else is in line to keep them all happy.
I picked up some Fuel and Oyster Feast from CRC to see if my corals will grow faster and color up more.

Yes, still running same leds. It has been since August 2011.

I got mine from cidly.com, they don't make the ones i have anymore. Mine are 120v with 56 white and 56 blue leds. Non-dimmable. I have them hanging about 12" off the water. With only white and blue i do not get all colors in my coral. Blues turn to purple and red turn to orange on softies. Hard corals keep their colors. Everything floureces like crazy! My par is off the charts. Mushrooms only live in caves.

I am in the process of adding t5 to the mix to try and get blue and red softies to behave lol.

When i bought mine, they didn't really offer any other color choices.

IF you have anymore questions, let me know. :)

My LED fixture was blue/white only so I ordered some extra LEDs and soldered in reds, greens, UV, and ultra blue. It took less than 30 minutes to unsolder and replace 12 LEDs. My corals are coloring up well and some of the washed out colors have returned.

Have you checked to see if anyone has modded the one you use?

Maybe not off the charts, but very good! I installed them 10" off the water and i was getting 900 at the top and 300 at sand. I have moved them up two inches to 12" off the water and they are almost two years old and now i am getting 680 at the top and 180 at sand.

I haven't seen if anyone has modded this kind or not. I really am not comfortable messing with it lol. Sure enough i would fry the whole fixture!

I did add a strip of UV chips, not very strong but i know the corals are getting light out of it, they GLOW when its on by itself .

I just added t5 last night, so we shall see what happens.

T5s where my other option, but not having a canopy would have been hard to keep it looking clean.

Can't wait to see more of your updates!
