That's usually not a good sign, only time will tell.. Check on him in the morning and let us know! I hope he is OK though!

Check for an electrical short, we had 2 tangs do the same thing and found a bad heater in our greenhouse vat. They did not last longer than a day doing that, at least ours didn't. Sorry to be a bearer of bad news, if by chance it survives please let us know.

Agree - not a good sign. definitely not how they sleep. Best of luck and I hope that he pulls through.

I agree, I've never had any fish do that (had some cichlids do something similar after a fight and die shortly later) ...it does not look good. If it only does it at night even more strange, but I would guess it is disoriented, something wrong with it's swim bladder, or dying.

Only way a fish would sleep like that is if it were having night terrors. Probably something neurological, not good. Updates?

Think something could be wrong with his swim bladder? Swim bladder disease?

Scared of the dark lol but I agree not cool even if it lives seems something major isn't right. Did you look for stray current as mentioned or could be Nero n wouldn't want it suffering if it is. Please updated I'm asking few fish smart breeders I know.let ya know what I find out. Best of luck.
