one year, chemiclean should do the trick?hard to say, looks like a mix of hair algae and cyano to me. how long have that tank been up and running?
Ro/Di is 0ppmBlow all the surfaces loose with a turkey baster. Reduce white light intensity for a few days and assure you have adequate clean up crew. ( snails. . . turbo, astrea, nassarius, trochus, nerite and a few blue leg hermits)
ARE YOU USING RO WATER OR TAP WATER FROM THE FAUCET? ALSO IS TANK BY OR NEAR A WINDOW?
One thing to enforce with a mixed reef is you must run carbon ( I run chemiPure blue) as softies/LPS emit toxins that will affect SPS in the same tank. Carbon will reduce these toxins.
Assure you have the following in range:
TEMP IS 77.5 TO 78.5
Salinity IS 1.026
Mag 13
CAL is 420
Alk is 8.5
ph 7.8 to 8.2
I'm not a fan of jumping right to chemical solutions. When I had cyano issues, I just vacuumed them out with water changes and adjusted my flow in my tank (either repositioning pumps and/or increasing flow). This fixed the issue for me after a few rounds of water changes.one year, chemiclean should do the trick?
