To the right of the pic looks like it could be a spiroid, the rest look to be pods, maybe a hydroid center left

What on earth? I went to get my giant hermit crab from them sump because my sand bed was getting dirty. And i found my giant hermit crab shell less. He was crawling around. I stuffed him back in the shell and tossed him up top. his anemone was not pleased because he left his shell on the filter sock above the water. I seriously need bigger shells for this guy he is in the largest I got.

I don't think you have to worry about quarantining an eel. At the most I would drip acclimate it, if the salinity is different. I have never had a ribbon Eel, but from keeping other eels, two main things to keep in mind while keeping eels is:- 1. Most Important, make sure the top of your tank is completely sealed, if there is any hole bigger than its snout, it will squeeze out and start dancing on the carpet until it realizes it cant breath out of water. 2. They will eat whatever they can fit in their mouth. I once had an eel eat a sargassum fish, which can be poisonous, the eel turned white for a few days but eventually recovered, until he went dancing on the carpet. Again this is just experience I have had with spotted moray eels, ribbon eels might be more docile. Pics?

So don't QT at all? Should I FW dip? I'm very aware that they are likely to eat my fish. I also hear it is hard to get them to eat. I have live guppies I'm breading for my future ribbon eel. Is that good for them?

I am one who dose not believe you should quarantine every new fish you get, especially if they do not show any signs of infection or disease. If you are overly cautions and have the means, I feel it is good, with some species of fish, to have a smaller observation tank set up so you can make sure your new fish is eating and healthy before you put it in your display tank. This observation tank should be a mini version of your main tank, not a sterile pvc grow-out tank. As far as eels go, they are more resistant to disease than fish, but not immune. A fresh water dip would not hurt, I think, but not necessary if the eel is not showing any sign of illness. Again this is just my advice and what I might do, take what you have learned, your common sense, and make your owne educated decision. Feeding guppies should not be a problem but I don't think are the best, I fed mine goldfish back in the day. Look up feeding eels in this forum, I am sure there are some experts here that can help you.
