Thanks so I have a 20gl with a decorator crab I can observe in. All I need to do is cover up the tank. Oh I was also thinking I could add in some clear PVC pipes and make a cool little maze for the eel. I think as soon as I get the algae under control it is time for a lion and a ribbon eel. I can also get more FTS later. Any other pictures you might want.I am one who dose not believe you should quarantine every new fish you get, especially if they do not show any signs of infection or disease. If you are overly cautions and have the means, I feel it is good, with some species of fish, to have a smaller observation tank set up so you can make sure your new fish is eating and healthy before you put it in your display tank. This observation tank should be a mini version of your main tank, not a sterile pvc grow-out tank. As far as eels go, they are more resistant to disease than fish, but not immune. A fresh water dip would not hurt, I think, but not necessary if the eel is not showing any sign of illness. Again this is just my advice and what I might do, take what you have learned, your common sense, and make your owne educated decision. Feeding guppies should not be a problem but I don't think are the best, I fed mine goldfish back in the day. Look up feeding eels in this forum, I am sure there are some experts here that can help you.
