Hey all… hoping I post to the right forum, still new to the hobby/R2R (about 6 months). Have had this monti for about a month now. just added some fish into my display tank about 2 weeks ago after quarantine. Today I did a water change… and noticed this for the first time. what the heck is this white stringy stuff? Any ID/help would be much appreciated! Thank you!!

Mesenterial filaments. I have encrusting montis that send them out as well to kill of other organisms around them so the coral can spread.

Thank you so much! When I heard mesenterial I got nervous like about anemones, but this sounds very positive. Awesome, thanks for your help!!
