Got to give a huge shout to Cultivated Reef for this mint chip montipora. Not the best picture of it but this is how it looked less than 5 min after I put it into the tank. For a monti that was impressive. They also only charge 30.00 for overnight shipping which is awesome and they have crazy door buster sales That are ridiculous like 5.00 cherry bomb zoa’s right now! I have ordered from many vendors and gotta give credit where credit is due they are one of the best! Thanks CR and I absolutely will be ordering from you again

Absolutely beautiful corals and photographs. The growth pattern of the fourth picture I quoted is just fantastic. Of course that is “unknown,” but I bet flow and placement had a lot to do with its shape.

I'm 99% sure this is a Porites and not a Montipora. Beautiful coral regardless. The way the corallites walls line up and the polyp itself looking almost recessed is a dead give away.
This link to an AIMS fact page for Porites lobata illustrates the corallite structure I am pointing out.
