Edit, the more I look, I see sunset montipora now.
I'm 99% sure this is a Porites and not a Montipora. Beautiful coral regardless. The way the corallites walls line up and the polyp itself looking almost recessed is a dead give away.Absolutely beautiful corals and photographs. The growth pattern of the fourth picture I quoted is just fantastic. Of course that is “unknown,” but I bet flow and placement had a lot to do with its shape.
That looks awesome, so how did it grow like that? Did you glue multiple frags around some rock? Noob question i know![]()

One frag size of quarter glued on rock. Took it a couple months to settle and then has been growing like a weed. Shaped itself. About 6 yrs old now.That looks awesome, so how did it grow like that? Did you glue multiple frags around some rock? Noob question i know
in a 29 gallon had for a long time somehow all pumps quit same time and it died. This was about 9 months ago.![]()
