Moonshine vs Captiv8

I was on Moonshine for a while, but I stopped when I started consolidating my systems into 1. I’ve recently started it back up. Before I was doing the Shine on 140g. I’m now 550g for my system and I’m about to add about 110g to my system. I also have 10 times the coral I had in my old set ups, consumption is wildly up not only due to coral count but I stepped my lighting and flow up in a meaningful way.

I’m dosing A and K daily on a doser at the recommended rate. So far my ICPs (MS by via RM) really have me focusing on fluoride, iodine and manganese. But also, at a very minimum amount chromium, vanadium and cobalt (1-2 drops each, which for 550g seems odd).

Is it true that you can mix all the captiv8 stuff in one jug and just put it on a doser? Does this include fluoride?
When I look up Captiv8’s fluoride, it’s in a 50ml dropper bottle, is Andrea’s fluoride more like water? I am happy with growth and color, but, I’m not crazy about the cost of fluoride, so I am going to start mixing my own. I’m trying to decide if I should punt on Moonshiners and give Captiv8 a try for convenience. I’m already switching to their kalk. Anyone have any thoughts about the comparisons between the two programs?

You can send your ICP results to Captiv8 in an email and he will give a full plan on how to dose. You can mix some elements..................he can tell you which.

You can purchase it in different size containers up to 9000 ml. Captiv8 list the concentration at 10,000 ppm F

Resurrecting this thread. Anyone else make the switch one way or the other? Thoughts or comments? I need to start doing something and I am leaning toward captiv8. It appears to a little more cost friendly and also being able mix up a lot of elements into one or two solutions makes dosing much easier (automated).

I sent a ICP-MS to Chris Wood of Captiv8 and he had pages of comments & pointed some things out to me I missed because the tester marked them green and good. He personally goes over every test sent to him per email extensively. He has formulated his line of products.

If you haven't seen any of the Podcasts Chris has been on check Reefbum, ACI aquaculture, Reefbuilders ect.

I can't vouch for either brand as I have no personal experience.
