Most effective coral dips

After my bobbit worm fiasco I'm looking for the best coral dips that are safe for softies (mainly mushrooms) and have really good effectiveness against Hitchhiker's. not really comfortable using Bayer because that seems a bit to extreme. So any recommendations, tips and insights are appreciated

Bayer is the best imo. I also find H202 dipping quite effective.

We only use Bayer for dipping SPS corals. Revive and Coral Rx can be a little ruff on them.

#7 Although we believe our corals to be free of pests we still suggest doing quick dips in your product of choice. We dip literally everything and keep corals in a QT until we are 100% sure we aren't introducing anything that will make our lives miserable. Reef Primer by Polyp Lab is our favorite as it gets the job done and is fairly gentle (I may have accidentally left coral in Reef Primer overnight a couple of times and it didn't kill them).

Bayer Insect killer is, in my opinion, the best coral dip. I've used it for the past 7-8 years on every coral available and never lost a single frag. It's cheap, readily available (in the US), and kills anything that isn't coral. I highly recommend it, no kidding.

I haven’t tried anything but revive on LPS and diluted H2O2 on softies. They both worked excellently. Been too scared to dip my acros but I did get them from very reputable sources like LRO. Hopefully someone who has tried a wide variety can chime in.

Bayer is a pain in the backside to use but very gentle on any coral. It is pretty good.

Any of the tea-tree (melaleuca) solutions are good for all but acropora.

For acropora, the best dip is potassium chloride without any doubt. 1 tblsp per gallon. But ONLY for acropora. Nothing else. It does not stun AEFW; it dissolves them.

I'm not the person that you posed this question to, but I'm sure they were not kidding. Bayer insecticide is very commonly used as a coral dip.
I use Bayer on every coral that goes into my tank and it has never caused an issue. I too thought using an insecticide for a coral dip seemed extreme but from my understanding it only effects organisms with a central nervous system which corals do not have. So on a coral it is not harmful at all.
