Well, i made a slight mental error and wasn't thinking about the heater that was in the 7.5 gallon tank. I added probably 7 more gallons of water and today I looked at the tank and all my shrooms were shrunk in and ticked off. My temp was 72°, I swapped out heaters with another I had laying around and hopefully every thing will look better tomorrow.

I went on vacation once and let my wife talk me into turning the heat in the house to OFF. House temp got down into the 40s and the heater in the sump just couldn't handle that big of a difference. Tank temp was 68 when we got home. Everything was shrivled kinda like when a fella goes swimming in a cold lake. Good news is that shrooms bounced right back after about 24-36hrs. Now when we head out in winter I toss an extra heater in the DT.

I added a rancho heater controller to this tank this week. I also added a tunze ato and mounted my dimmers for the LEDs.

I have lost several shrooms along the way unfortunately, i replenished todat with my pack from Aqua SD. I got 10 new shrooms in there. I will atempt to get a lot of new pics tomorrow. It's looking good other than the bubble algae that is EVERYWHERE! I have assigned a emerald crab to the job, but I think he needs some support. lol

I havn't done an update in a long time on the tank so it's about time I do one. Since the last post I have added an MP10, a larger ATO reservoir, and a new skimmer. The skimmer that was in the kicked the bucket back before Christmas and since that time, a large bubble algae problem has set in. I bought a SCA 301 skimmer and it's breaking in nicely now. I'm planning on moving my RBTA from my 40g to this tank once I've ran the skimmer for a few weeks and remove a lot of the algae. I have a little more than just shroom in there now. I have added a favia, an acan, a chalice, and some trumpets so it's longer just a shroom tank. I recently bought a 3/4" bulk head and I'm waiting on the bit now now to drill the tank. The DIY overflow has done well and I don't really have any problems with it. I would just like to free up some room in the tank. Here's a pic of the sump with the new reservoir and Protein skimmer. I'll get a pic of the display when I'm done with the overflow replacement and remove some bubble algae. I'm a title embarrassed with the algae right now. Thanks and have fun reefing guys.

I finished the changes to the tank last night. I drilled the back and added a bulkhead for the overflow. Everything looks a lot cleaner now. Here are a couple updated shots. Once I completely get rid of the bubble algae I'll start adding some more livestock.
