I have a lot of new exciting updates, I will post this weekend!

@NY_Caveman my Midas Blenny is awesome! Although the past couple weeks it’s been really spooked, I can’t figure it out. The clowns definitely did not bully her and she’s eating. She just loves her spot In the rock and doesn’t like swimming around as much

Interesting. Mine rests a lot in his hole, but is fairly active in the water column most of the time.

Ok, sorry for the delay but I have been busy. Here is an update. I added a yellow wrasse to the tank which has been an awesome addition, it really adds life to the tank and I’m happy he picks at the abundance of pods on my rock. I order a couple of frag packs from WWC about 3 weeks ago. I ordered a Zoa pack which are doing great and an SPS pack. My green Slimer is my first acro so I’m trying to take my time with it. I noticed I had 0 PO4/NO3 so I upped feeding and I currently have NO3 at 1.5 ppm and PO4 between .09-1.1 (I slowed feeding down and I will keep and eye out). Coralline algae is on about 30% of the rock structure which is pretty cool. I am also going to change my T5s out and go with the ATI combo (blue plus/actinic), currently I have ATI Blue Specials which are nice but too white for me. I can always supplement more white with my Kessil if the new bulbs are too blue. Anyways, here are some pictures.

Ugghhh, 2nd snail caught in the drain so far, good thing I added that emergency drain! Unfortunately, I wasn’t home and everyone had to deal with the noise of the emergency drain until I got home.

My drain / return system is super quiet but very very sensitive. For instance, I told my wife to open the gate valve to let the snail pass into the filter sock but closing the valve back to “the right” position takes a little time and finesse which my wife didnt have lol.

Is this normal?

Hey guys, I’m struggling with my aquascape, I think I might rearrange. If I remove rock from my display will I throw off the tanks balance?

it will be fine if you put it back in. Removing a good bit a letting it dry out could cause some issues if you then added it back.

simply taking it out and rearranging it is nbd.

I’m talking about removing 1 or 2 pieces permanently.

looking at your above pictures, i don't think that will cause a problem.

just remember your tank will be a little worse at processing ammonia when you so watch your feedings.

you don't have much fish in there right now so i don't think you will have any issues.

I guess I can always throw it in the sump if there is room and concern

I honestly don't worry about it. In a year you will be wishing you had some phophates.

I bleach it, rinse the heck out of it and soak it for a week in dechlorinated water.

I rarely ever test for phosphates. The uglies subside and it's smooth sailing after that as far as algae outbreaks. At least it has been for me in the past.

Just my .04 (inflation) ;)
Lol you were so right, less than a year but struggling upping those nutrients in a balanced form
