jsker,

Your bow-front is really looking great.

Let me know what your findings are :)

Nothing scientific but my theory is: Since the beginning of May my PH has gone down and stayed down except when we had cooler weather last week. Changes: Hwy construction and new home A/C system. In regards to the hyw construction, the turnpike is about 300 yards from the house. In may all of the trees and brush were removed so that the highway can be expanded.

My thinking is the trees and brush were absorbing much of the Co2 from the cars, and with it not there and the winds from the south and west all the Co2 is blowing towards the house. There are plenty of threes around the house but not enough to take on the extra Co2. In regards to the A/C the house is not sealed up tighter and the A/C is pulling more Co2 from the outside world through leaks and cracks in the house.

I did put in place a Co2 scrubber and that has not do much but helped. In regards to the weather when the wind has been cooler and blowing from the north east my PH values have gone up, meaning that the Co2 from the cars is going the other way.

I am hoping that when the sound barrier wall is finished this will help my PH values over all.

PH 7.59

bumped up dosing and doing a water change today. My alk number seemed low since I have been bumping up the alk over the last two weeks, so I busted out my other go to test kit and the Hanna number are on and both test kits tested very close again.
Decided and I am experimenting again, and letting the algae out compete each othero_O and trying to wait as long as I can before I feel the urge to clean my glass to see if the diano's starve out. No cyano present thankfully. I will vac the sand bed though.

Great looking Maxima Jeffrey;)

Hope you are having a great holiday. I had to jump the bike today, since the battery tender has a major malfunction. I was wet, drizzling, cool/cold for Florida, but the battery is now charged;) It was nice open up those Vance & Hines pipes:)

This is a really good thread on cyano that I found here today. Some heavy weights in the reefing world weighing in on the discussion;)

What are the root causes of Cyano? Read the whole thread, This is like fried chicken with mashed and gravy!!
