Lol, yes they are. Wish there was a easy way to fix it. Seems to be a pita on mobile.

I would just leave it. Doesn't hurt to start with the current pic first! ind of hooks you in so to speak. Any plans for the tank? FOWLR/Reef, potential stocking?, etc?

Sorry if I am cluttering up your build thread already! lol

Looks great. Love the wet dry/bio balls. I used to run them and which I still did. Watch out though, there may be a huge backlash in the community when they see it.:)

The only thing I was wondering about is the connector. I can’t tell, is it a rubber one? I am not sure if it would be food grade/safe to use. But I have no experience with them so more of a question to be on the safe side.

Wetdry's are older tried & true technology . I'm glad your using this type of filter . They do produce a lot of nitrates however but that's something you can address down the road.
@Mastiffsrule Very cool your still using one. I have 3 in storage & 3, 5 gl buckets full of Bio balls & was thinking about tossing them. LOL

The connection is rubber. It's commonly used in plumbing and called a fernco. Very little if any is exposed to the water. The pvc is tight against the bulkhead with the fernco over both. I haven't noticed any problems with it yet. And yes, I've already caught hell on some Facebook groups for using bioballs. Lol
