So got the dreaded dinos...I think. Generally I did a bunch of things wrong, especially failing to keep nitrates consistently above zero. So begrudgingly bought a microscope. Tonight broke it out and had a great time, lol. So pictures not great but using the website below I believe I have ostreopsis based on movement and shape. In the tank I have nothing noticeable on sand and believe I have dinos mixed with gha on rock. Would you agree with my ID?

This is the source I used for ID

I agree with your theory, just check in with a couple other people first. I had these once and all you have to do is just raise nutrients. Doing that will help other things out compete the dinos for surface area. Also, I think other people will want to know the age of your tank.

Tank is IM30 long and a year old. Set up with rock and fish from a year old evo13.5. I have 2 clowns, a springeri damsel, midas blenny, bangaii cardinal, 8 ish hermits, 6 ish snalis, a tuxedo urchin, assorted corals.
ALK 7.2 which is a drop from a consistent 8.4
Use AFR but found doser getting too much air. Hopefully fixed that.
Nitrate 6 with dosing neonitro but this was frequently 0 despite heavy feeding.
Phosphate .15 to .3..
Tends high.
Haven't tested CAL AND MG but tended high and SPS doing great.
Was running chemipure elite but pulled out.
Have a 9 watt uv sterilizer in place now
Turned lights to all blue and photo period to 5 hours, was ab+ schedule for 8 hours.
Will continue managing nitrate, adding cap of microbactor7 daily and have aqua forest mud and Dr tims eco balance coming.
Will up cuc with reef cleaners order after Xmas.
Wasn't gonna water change but want to get my all back up.

I see video links didn't work. Here they are:

Hope this works.

Can't see the videos, but the images say Ostreopsis. If it's moving in cycles around some point, it's most likely Ostreopsis. You can compare with other dinoflagellate images from my microscopy thread :)
