Ian - while I appreciate your love for Acans - I think your timing SUKS!
I might have to get rid of all my acans if my wife doesn't lighten up on getting rid of the Purple Tang and Foxface!

If the fish do go - I have a PERFECT spot for that BAD BOY!
I'm definitely interested in a trade......

Its hard to choose between fish and corals.

Thats why I have a reef safe coral tank and a nipper tank w/ my sps :D

Keep me posted on the outcome...

is it me or does the one polyp have 2 mouths?

I noticed the same thing once I got the picture on my computer screen. Wierd, huh?

very nice. reminds me of the japanese lord days.

I actually got it from Sang/Maximus when he got out. I wish I saved the picture of his old Japanese acan with similar colors.

It was absolutely AMAZING! He said he sold his 5 polyp colony the 1st time he got out for $1500 or something ridiculous like that...

Thinking back, it crapped all over most of the corals we see these days... I wish I knew who has it...

Option 2 - 24" x 18" x 10" lookdown tank next to the display for my LPS.

That or I'm going to get one of those little spearguns off of ebay and said the gremlins did it!

Funny. I got another lord from him about the same time he broke down his tank the first time. Here is an old pic. I lost the colony during the transfer. I would like to get a frag of that lord if you ever frag.

oh man Lam, that thing is beautiful! The ridged polyps almost make it look Japanese.

I have one Japanese lord but the colors aren't really anything to brag about...

Bummer you lost that thing, it was a stunner...

Ill let you know when I put it to the bandsaw ;)

I have seen my fair share of acans over that last 5 years. I no longer am surprised at what one man counts as beautiful. As I stare at my tank with hundreds of pieces of acans for sell, in my mind I know which one I hold as dear and precious to me. Only to watch it be in passed by with each passing sale. This is the true reason why in this hobby, "if you like it" buy it. Cuz your the only one that has to be happy!
