I'd have to estimate somewhere between 50-70ish. It seems like my success rate has been increasing with each hatch. It could also be due to my clowns laying more eggs as well.

Breeding clarkis would be cool. I havent seen many threads on people breeding them. Did you have to move them and that upset their cycle?

Ideally I'm hoping to work out some kind of deals with the various lfs around me. Every egg hatching is providing me with 70+ fish now. With those kinds of numbers every 2 weeks a lfs would offer the best constant supply/demand for me to keep at this. I'll be trying every avenue possible though like the local for sale sites, going to frag swaps, and even trading. This breeding project is extremely rewarding and I'm not expecting to get rich from it but it would be great if i could break even on my expenses doing it! If i can swing doing that I'll look into adding other clown fish pairs to the project.

The future of my fish breeding is looking good so far. Ive talked to 2 lfs and have some tentative agreements. Hopefully i have just as much luck with others. I might just be able to breed some other clowns after all.

It seems my clowns have been slipping on their scheduled laying of eggs. Its been trending by getting delayed a day each hatch. This current hatching started monday and actually split so have the rest hatching today (tues). Not sure if im throwing them off their game or this is just how the wanna roll.

Clowns are still layin eggs and i currently have multiple batches being raised. They are in various stages of development since Ive been collecting them every 2 weeks. Rather then show that, heres a video to continue showing the progress of my oldest clowns. They are 69 dph at this point.

Thought i'd post an update. I apologize about the video quality but all i had was my cell phone. Clowns in the tank are a mix of different hatches but the oldest are 98 days.

Absolutely amazing thread. I think my pair of perculas have just recently begun showing some signs of breeding, so I'm going to be keeping an eye on them, and maybe start getting some equipment ready for if they do breed.

Your thread has been incredibly informative to me. Good luck with the breeding.

I'd love to be able to breed and raise some anthias or fairy wrasses...not holding my breath on that one, though....

Baby clowns are incredibly adorable.

Thanks for the comments! I took some pictures of my clowns today. I've noticed some color variations. Some are darker brown/black while some are more orange/black. It'll be interesting to see if the colors stay the same as they grow.
