Iv had this frogspawn for about 2 months now. It was doing great till latelt. I raised my alk to 7.8 from 7.1 during few days period. And i broadcasted some reef roids in the water. My frogspawn closed, and my duncan.

And now i noticed that not only it closed but its like the polyps are hanging on by a thread?

Please tell us the lights you have installed and the dimensions of the tank. This is important to determine if your lighting has enough power.

Also, are you relying on your return pump for flow or are you using power heads in the tank?

A full tank picture would also be helpful.

Yes sir. I have the xr15 g5 light running AB+ at 65% intensity.

I have 2 wave makers nero 3s on each side of the tank.

Tank looks good and established. And you have plenty of flow.

What’s the depth of your tank and how high above the water line are your lights mounted?

I’m trying to determine if you are getting enough PAR at the bottom.

You could try moving the problem corals up in the tank, bringing them closer to the light.

Look at the sand, look at the rocks. That doesn't happen in a new tank.

The XR15 only has 100 watts of power. I question if you are getting adequate PAR at the tank's bottom.

Again, I would place struggling corals up in the tank so its closer to the light.

Don't move corals that are dong well.

Corals that are struggling should be moved to new locations.

Unlike Anemones, which cam move around the tank and find a suitable spot to thrive, corals require you to move them to locations where they can thrive.

If they are in low flow areas, maybe moving them to a location where there is more flow. And if they are high flow areas, perhaps getting them to an area with less flow.

The same holds true for lighting. If a coral is far from light and struggling, move it closer.
