My Most Sought After Fish... Yours?

there are some lucky members on this forum who have a pair in their tank...

I am absolutely in love with this fish - just waaaaaaay out of my range.

I’m pretty sure Ocean Reefs Marine from Perth, West Australia collects these. They definitely collect the Lennardi. ORM do wholesale ship to the US perhaps you could contact them or your LFS to see if they would order from them.

Many years ago my LFS had one of these at less then $100 AU but the owner killed it along with every other fish he ever got in store. He genuinely believed that the occasional kid tapping the glass was responsible for all his fish deaths.

My dream fish is the Harlequin Tuskfish and I’ll have one within a year or so.

Paracheilinus hemitaeniatus..Commonly called the Madagascar flasher wrasse.

I love this kind of question but it is hard to answer because their are so many fish I could realistically get one day but can’t now with a 10 gallon. For now I’ll say a tinkers butterflyfish, have never seen one in person but I think they look amazing in pictures

I have been keeping a reef tank for roughly 8 years now. I have had potters angels, leopard wrasses, mandarin dragonettes, blue tangs, yellow tangs, blotchy anthias, sunburst anthias, cave basslets, and clownfish of course.

Currently, I have a pair of Rainsford Gobies and an ORA Yellow Assessor, who swims upside-down, yes.

My most sought after fish, of which I have already owned once in the past, but lost him to carpet surfing, is a Blue Spotted Jawfish (BSJ). Unfortunately, I have not seen a BSJ in my LFS here in SoFlo in at least 1.5 years. Has anyone seen them recently or know of a store that may have one that you can help link me up with and potentially ship? Anyone have any idea on why they're so scarce now?

First 48 hours are just impossible. 0/4 now for @HotRocks and I.

As I understand it they need many small feedings, are terrible shippers, and starve out and die in DT without several feedings each day. I haven’t had success so I can’t speak to that.

Interesting, next time I’m at that specific LFS, I’ll have to ask what they do to keep them. If you went to Reef-A-Palooza in 2017 (I think), the store had a display with about 15-20 Lennardi Wrasse’s

I had one a few years back. Had it for about 2 years with no lid, then lost it to jumping. Now I’ve got a tight lid and ready for one, but now they’re no where to be found...

I go to my friend Austin at AP Frags in Boca primarily, he’s always got good deals and awesome pieces. Other than that, I go to Barrier Reef, Aquarium King, Blue Seas Aquariums, and occasionally Professional Fish Keepers, but unfortunately I got contaminated water from there once and it was pretty disastrous to my system, but I get dry goods there because it’s got a huge selection. Sometimes I go down to Strictly Fish.

Correction. 0/3.

All had swim bladder issues. They were all juveniles. I think adults are easier to adapt.
