Yeah man, it's a gamble but that copperband ate frozen at the LFS. Unfortunately it stopped as soon as I put it in my tank. Fortunately it eats pellets now.

Wow that's great. I'm planning on orange spot filefish so that's going to be my gamble! It'll be worth the work in the end

Went to the LEAR frag swap. Got some nice Zoas and shrooms and a couple cool rock anemones. Love the bright green Rock nem. A couple crappy pics for you!

It is a Jebao 6000 DC. I have it on the 2nd setting and adjusted the drain and the tank is silent.
So do you think a 4000 would work? I was at the Lear swap, too. Best swap around - I don't even have a tank set up right now and I wouldn't miss it. I really like that second mushroom, looks like a yuma.

I do think a 4000 would be fine for a 250 Reefer. Yeah, I really had a great time at the LEAR swap.

It is a yuma. Once I figure out how to take pics I will get a better one bc it's really cool. Some green and blue in it too.

Well the corals are looking great in the tank but I don't have a camera other than my iPhone. I need to work on that. But here's a couple.

I also have the skimmer almost running perfect now so I'm excited about that.

Update on the tank, everything is great. I currently have 2 bangai cardinals, an azure damsel and a flame hawkfish. Here's a FTS. Going to borrow a camera once the coral starts growing

The tabs that hold it, do they come with the kit? Also, your plumbing on your water station, can you explain it a little more and how it works? What's the top plumbing for? I think I see a pump to help drain?

By tabs, I assume you mean the screen top? No they do not. I ordered them here http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/auqa-gadget-screen-top-suspension-clips-innovative-marine.html and I got the 12mm. Works perfect.

The water station - The brute on the right is where the RO/DI fills up. I have valves on the top and bottom to keep the water in there. When I need to fill up my ATO, I open the bottom right valve and the valve in the center and turn on the pump to fill up a bucket.

When I want to make saltwater, I open the bottom right valve and the top left valve and turn on the pump. This fills the left brute. Once filled, I add salt and only keep open the top left and bottom left valves and put in the heater and leave the pump running. This mixes it overnight for when I want to change water.

Does this make sense? I'm sure I'm not using the best terms for the plumbing. I can take some more pics if that's easier.

Got a decent picture of my coral banded shrimp. He lost both big claws in the tank transfer, defense mechanism? Anyone know if they'll grow back? Either way he's happy and eating.

This is definitely my favorite fish, our flame hawk. So colorful and funny.

Got a camera and I am learning. This is confusing at first to be honest. But I like these pictures better so far.

I finally got my RO/DI system hooked up. My father in law and I worked all night on it but I'm very happy. Hopefully I can get the water in tomorrow and get the cycle started!

Such a good idea having the storage tank. Thanks for that..
