Picked this up yesterday for the room... Thanks again @reefez for the great deal on the tank. Nice chatting with you and hearing some of your experiences. Hopefully we stay in touch. Its gonna look great when I get this room all finished and ready to start moving everything in. i also got the flooring done a few weeks back. Need to touch up baseboards and also paint the walls. Also need to get fans installed. Haven’t decided where to put the mixing station and ro/di barrels at... Im thinking in the back of that cubby would be perfect. Can keep it tucked out of the way and run a hose from them to the tanks. Ordered a wash basin that will be in tomorrow and plumbers coming saturday to install wash basin and water line for ro/di unit. Things are slowly coming along, but Im collecting great gear on the way and meeting some really cool people in the hobby... Now I need to find a nice 6’ lighting option for this tank... lol

Floor turned out great! There's drain plumbing available for the wash basin?

Plumbing it to my drainage that runs along the side of the house to the curb... since its only going to be ro waste water and soapy water to wash hands and equipment its considered grey water... So its all good... my drainage runs along under ground on that same side of the house... so everything worked out perfect...

As of right now I have a 48” t5/mh hybrid light... A 36” 6 bulb ati fixture with sbar actinics... a 160w maxspect 420r 15000k Razor... trying to figure out whats gonna be my best options... I can honestly say, I know zero about Kessils... never read anything or researched them at all... I still have the other tank which is probably going to be my sps only tank thats 75 gallons... might use the t5/mh lamp for that tank... and ati and razor on the 6’ until I save up more money for the correct lighting setup

Just found the thread and I'm glad I did. First, congrats on finding a new outlet, I've never had to recover but have to see people close to me struggle with it. Hat's off and much respect for putting the work in and getting it done.
I hope to start my garage take over in about 6 months but we have to buy a building for the back yard and a couple other things first. I will be creeping on this thread to get ideas. I have already stolen one and will be using the floor coating you used. It's looks great and is perfect for a fish room. I like the frag tank too, it looks nice and will be great in the room.

One thing to add I did 3 coats of behr wet-look sealer ontop of the rocksolid polycuramine... reason for this is because when you use the color flake it does not blend in and lay flat when applied. I let the polycuramine cure for 48 hrs and then I laid the first coat of behr down. I also used the non skid material which consists of aluminum oxide in the sealer... just added straight to the jug and shook it for 10 mins... what this did was add a satin type finish to the floor and I love how grippy it is now... the color flake looks great because it is sealed now and no bumps. I added a new coat every 4 hours... it really does look great and only cost me $150 to do myself

Gonna be using this icecap 36xl as a sump for both tanks... I have to figure out how im gonna do that... it only has 2 inlets for water to enter sump... I need a total of 4; 3 from the 6’ tank and 1 from the 4’ tank... really no room there to drill holes, but might have to modify the blue access cap there on top so I can add 2 more inlets... Also going with the bubble mag curve d9 for protein skimmer... should be more than enough to handle work load... maybe too much... lol!

Thanks buddy... I still struggle pretty much everyday... lol... Constantly feel like everyone is out to get me or its God or just my bad luck that the slurpee machine is broken when I go to 7-11, stuff like that. Ill have 6 months clean of everything in 14 days... pretty big accomplishment... Life is good right now... One minute at a time for me...

On the tank that has 3, one is just an emergency drain I assume. With the emergency you can just dump it anywhere in the sump, mine dumps in the chamber with my skimmer. It doesn't have to be in the main outlet. The idea being it will only be used if the other drains get clogged. That should save you some room.

Still doesnt help though... I have to get one more 1” pipe in that chamber... gonna have to cut 1/4 of that blue cover offso I can put another pipe in rhrought that way
