Picked this up yesterday for the room... Thanks again @reefez for the great deal on the tank. Nice chatting with you and hearing some of your experiences. Hopefully we stay in touch. Its gonna look great when I get this room all finished and ready to start moving everything in. i also got the flooring done a few weeks back. Need to touch up baseboards and also paint the walls. Also need to get fans installed. Haven’t decided where to put the mixing station and ro/di barrels at... Im thinking in the back of that cubby would be perfect. Can keep it tucked out of the way and run a hose from them to the tanks. Ordered a wash basin that will be in tomorrow and plumbers coming saturday to install wash basin and water line for ro/di unit. Things are slowly coming along, but Im collecting great gear on the way and meeting some really cool people in the hobby... Now I need to find a nice 6’ lighting option for this tank... lol

Got a question... Since I will be having 300+ gallons of water in this room, will I need to run a dehumidifier to keep the humidity down in the room? For some reason I was just thinking about this and thought it might be a problem with that much humidity in one room...

It may be a good idea, the room may also get warm if you keep the door shut. I have a friend with his sump for his display, a 150 grow out and a frag tank and he has to keep the door open all the time. He also runs a dehumidifier all the time, and it still gets up there sometimes. I'm going to install a mini split in my garage to keep it cool, not sure if a window unit would work in there with the proximity to the window.

Got one of the tables in... looks great and just enough room at the front to add my 4’ frag tank... so pumped... only issue is I dont have enough room to put the hydro tubs underneath... its 7” too small to get both 4’ tubs downthere... So im gonna have to think on that one...

Fantastic job Sir ! I really like the big utility sink. I assume You got the water supply & drain figured out.

Saturday is plumbing day... gonna plumb the drain into my backyard drainage since its considered grey water... only ro waste water and soapy water will be going down the drain and maybe organics from when I clean equipment... totally stoked

Love howmuch open space is underneath the tables... frame is all powder coated steel... so Im thinking of doing some magnets to hold on some wood sheets to enclose the sump underneath... so its easily removable... might have to get some support beams welded underneath the benches for more support... tables say they support 3k lbs. and I will have half of each tank sharing the their weight on both benches... so it should be okay, but its still sketchy to me...

Everything looks great man! Hats of to you for the lifestyle change.

Have you thought about any issues with having the tanks that close to the window? Not sure which direction that window faces but I believe if natural sunlight comes in your could end up with an algae problem?

Love how the floor came out also! I'll be stealing that idea for my future garage lol

Im going to be using black out curtains for the window, but I thought it would be a good idea to be close to the window that way at night I could open the window and throw a box fan in the window and get that fresh air dispersed all over the top of the water. Needed black out curtains anyway, with all the lights, its gonna look like Andromeda up in there... The way I am setting it up is really the only way I can get both frag tanks and also my reefer XL425 and XL525 in the same room

Plus its close to the overflow box as well, so all that fresh air will get flushed down into the sump and I can also run a rubber tubing from out the window to the skimmer as well and feed it fresh air too
