Your tank actually did give me the inspiration. I already started getting to work. This will be a fun one.

The article is almost complete. It was, I think, the most fun I’ve had writing.

I made a special dosing chart for it too.

Yes. I did. It wasn’t easy though.

I’ve been using lanthanum chloride for phosphate. It’s actually really convenient and inexpensive. I started using NP Bacto Balance for nitrate and corals. Many of the fastest growing tanks I’ve been use it, so I’d like to see if it’s just a coincidence or not.

I’m slightly updating my tank.

This part has a shaded overhang. I can’t put acros there. I’m going to add rocks to have a cascading effect to be able to mount acros.

I don’t know how to explain it in text. I’ll show pictures once I’m done. I’m going to change water at once.

What’s the catch?

The catch is that it’s not quarantined and IMO looks a little suspicious based on a video I saw. My goal is to see if I can help achieve better success rates with this type of fish in QT.

I setup a 40 gal for the QT. I added live rocks and some sand. The water is clear now.

I predosed the tank with 2.5 ppm praziquantel powder because I think this fish might have a fluke problem. I may decide to FW dip to confirm it. I’ll take it as it comes when I see the fish’s condition tomorrow.
