I am setting up a 100 gallon reef with a 30 gallon sump. My daughter decided she likes the tank and since dady can do it she wants one of her own. We discussed what was involved and I promised I would help with maintenance etc and she promised she would keep up with her own feeding (with help of course) and would do the maintenance on it (Again with help) This will be her tank. The catch is although she is a very responsible 13 year old I dont want to go to expensive since we are talking about a 13 year old here. I have been doing some research online and have found what looks to be 2 good possibilities for a 10 to 20 gallonNano:

Has a 10 gallon and a 20 gallon with LED hood:
Aquarium Kits: Marineland BIO-Wheel LED Aquarium Kit

IPSF Nano Lagoon with the IPSF DIY top:
Nano Lagoon (1): Tank and Filter - YouTube
Cheap Nano Reef Light Hood (a) - YouTube

She is really after 3 to 4 fish with an expressed interest in a clown and a Catalina Goby with 1 or 2 others to follow. Then a couple simple corals that we will eventually frag off our 100 gallon tank when we get there. Do these look like good ideas or is she going to have to change her plans?
