We are cycling a 13.5 gallon fluval Evo. The stock lid and lights seem to generate a good amount of heat. The stock light also lacks programming options.

We've ordered a custom lid and are looking for ideas on an LED lighting system that will mount with a clamp above the lid, rather than one that rests on the lid.

What kinds of corals are you looking to keep? A single AI Prime HD would be perfect. Programmable via wi-fi app, able to be mounted with a mounting arm or hung.

I have this same tank and I just put the current orbit USA light on it. Looks fantastic and coral loved it.

Also where did you get your custom lid? I need one.

Not going for high maintenance corals. Most likely some zoas, softies and maybe an LPS or two.

Saw the AI prime. That's an investment. We have a 125 gallon system also, and do understand it is often better to spend more up front and get good equipment. So will look into this. Thanks.

16" SB reef basic would is a good cheap option with more light than you will ever need.
