Nice! I have a 2.5g cookie jar I have considered using.
I run 16hds on a small 13g and have a few extra. This has got me interested.
Tunze ato magnets for size reference.
I will be following. Good luck and keep the pics comming!

I'd say give it a shot! So far this has been going a lot smoother than I anticipated. I know there was a contest on Nano reef who used those same jars. Someone even started making a custom lid with lighting for them, and they usually only have an airline for Flow and a small heater. I love seeing these smaller tanks that can thrive in comparison to having to spend thousands of dollars for huge complicated set ups. Plus I feel like it fits into the room like an art piece as well

Hello everyone! It's been a little bit since my last post, there hasn't been much to update until now. Yesterday I grabbed a frag of Rainbow Montipora when stopping at my LFS for RO water. I've always had a sweet spot for these and for $25 I couldn't pass it up. My bubblegum digitata is doing well and showing good growth so figured this one should do ok as well.

My hammer is in the middle of splitting still. The left side has two mouths and is looking good

And just for fun here's a FTS with the whites just to show how it's looking. I've noticed some new heads on the Zoas and clove polyps. Tons of pods in the tank and the hermit and two snails still cruising along.

Unfortunately, I couldn't resist and added a couple more frags to my tank. A shop opened up fairly recently 5 minutes from my parents house, so whenever I go to visit, it's a mandatory stop now lol.

I ended up picking up a blue Discosoma Mushroom, which is great for this lower spot that's some what shaded, and gives good color to look at when the Whites are on mid-day

That was all I was going to pick up but the shop owner loves to give deals so I also got a frag of Space Invader Chalice

And also a mixed Zoa frag of Butt Munchers and what looks like Fruit loops.

I'm done adding anything to the tank for a while now. Everything has been doing so well so far and I don't want to ruin a good thing.. There's a small frag swap in August I want to check out if I'm free, and then I'll be hitting Aqua Shella for the first time come September so I want to make sure this tank one, has enough room for good finds, and two, is healthy and thriving come that time to feel confident in getting some more unique corals. Here's a FTS to end this post, I moved my Rainbow Montipora to the middle to make room for the Chalice off to the side where the monti was originally.

Thanks for taking the time to follow along!

Welp, I figured things were going too smooth.. My tank hit 3 months old on July 1st.

Everything has been going great so far.. until about last week I noticed my Zoas kind of looking sad. They'll open and be closed up and just not looking right. Well last night I was looking around and saw a small Zoa eating nudibranch.. I have had experience with these guys in my previous tank I had set up years ago and they were a nightmare. I have been so careful with everything put into this tank and dipped everything but they made their way somehow.

I just ordered a skinny pipette/turkey baster to really get in there and suck up the ones I can see and keep up the routine for as long as I need to. I really don't want to remove the plugs from the rock to dip them again as the Zoas have attached to the rockwork already. And I've read coralRX doesn't kill the eggs...

Other than that nothing new with the tank. I'll have to get an updated FTS soon. I'll just have to be very persistent especially since Aquashella is coming to my area in September and I know Im going to end up splurging..

I was able to suck up two nudibranchs, I got a picture of one in dumped into a cup. They glow the color of the Zoas they eat. You can faintly see the orange/red coming
