Thoughts on using fossil coral in sump to naturally leach calcium into water so I dont have to dose?

Your not going to get much Ca that way unless you ph drops way lower than it should be. Basicly that is what a calcium reactor does. It lowers the ph to 6.5 or so to dissolve crushed coral skeletons.

It will help a little but as said not a lot. Same reason we use Aragonite sand. Releases trace elements as it dissolves.
