Fish arrived today!! Not sure how many will make it though in summary I can confirm alive on day one:
-2 exquisite
-1 mccoskers

Potentially alive as they darted into the sand immediately:
-1 blue star leopard
-1 unknown

Confirmed dead:
-1 pintail
-1 carpenters
-1 unknown (flushed, no pictures it was pretty devoid of color)

I ordered 5 as you can see and 8 showed up. The wife followed the acclimation procedure that Dr Reefs publishes but is not the best identifier of our fishy friends hence so many unknowns.

And also overnight/while I was at werk this super bright green BC Genie of death suddenly tuned albino after 2 weeks in the tank with the pink growth tips visible last night. What can you do?

@Slocke when (if ever) should i start digging through sand in my observation tank to see if the blue star leopard is alive or has been rotting in the sand for the past 5 days?
You probably shouldn't but give it a couple weeks

Oh dang, so about 3 weeks? I am still feeding the tank (even the one that only potentially has a leopard in the sand, this one lightly. There is a pretty well established pod and amphipod population in there for food If they come out when I’m not around).

Of the 8 fish sent there are the 2 exquisite in a 20g with a leopard under the sand as well.

And in the 10g potentially a leopard in the sand…

Let me know if you know of someone in northern Co (greater Denver area) or Cheyenne Wy in the market for an exquisite (about 3 inches) and/or blue star leopard, unsure of sizes, the wife unpacked them. Also need to make sure at least one is alive before rehoming the second... I’ll give away for free or trade for frags to a good home =D

My wife just sent me a picture of a Blue star leopard out of the sand. Today, it has been one week from arrival. I believe there is still another one in the other holding tank at the moment. She also fed the tank and it ate the food readily!

So I put the exquisite and blue star leopard wrasse in the main tank with a couple mirrors taped to the side glass because the Halichoeres cosmetus started showing agression the the blue star. The mirror trick is working like a charm he’s now very distracted by the ‘other’ cosmetus.

The exquisite fairy is in a small nook/cave in one of the rocks. Unable to get a picture at this time.

The leopard is just judging him for attacking the mirror 🤣

Oh BTW I do have an extra blue star in a holding tank that came out for the first time (that we saw) within a minute of transferring the other one that has been out for the past 5 days or so. If anyone near Cheyenne Wy would like one, PM me.

Well I am way overdue for an update here. FTS from a 10/30/25 there are a few new additions visible in this shot, most notably the orange plate, left side in the sand and a dragon tamer torch middle sand.

I traded the blue star in the above post and a couple frags to another reefer in Co for a lot of frags. The below pics will have frags from CB and the trade and also two biota clams, one blue and one black. (Can’t seem to find cornbred’s profile here I’ll look more in a second and edit if I find it). Somone remind me to get a pic with the whiter spectrum… I always forget to do that.
All pictures from today 11/9/25:

Below the 4 acros in the foreground are from CB the ones not very visible and behind the red goni are from the local reefer as well as the war coral

Left to right: yellow and blue favia(CB), blue maxima, 3 shrroms from CB, pink platy (CB).

2 torches on the left were from local reefer

Awesome! I guess I owe you a frag now? It could be arranged that we trade some frags… i am running out of space will probably need to wait for the upgrade at this point 😂

Careful mine was flipped by the cosmetus or one of my pithos crabs onto a blasto (it was about 2 inches away before now closer to 4 inches) and luckily I got it off before the blast totally killed it but there was some minor damage.

I'm always down for some trades. I have three ahead of you, and one is going out to @Fishy888 this week. The next two will be after the holiday craziness and then @Slocke's b-day present and @Minifoot77. Let's chat after the new year. I have some pretty nice pieces that I'd like to get out there. #Heathens only for now.

I’d hop in line then. No idea when I will pull the trigger on the 8’ tank. Thinking Glass cages.

Hands down, @Joe Glass Cages is the best, IMO. The man is an artist, and he'll be building my next tank, too.

Dimensions?
I’m doing 96x24Dx30H. Low iron (front and sides), external overflow, shielded seams, braced.
