I had an opportunity to photograph some REALLY cool fish today, this one is one of my favorites from the trip. It is not particularly sharp, but for some reason I really like the image:

Post your favorite, but unusual fish images here!

Pardon me for taking this thread off topic for a moment:

ReefRunner, that's a nice shot of the wrasse. It can be made considerably more interesting with a little cropping to put the main body of the fish on a "third" (Rule of Thirds: divide the frame into thirds and place your subject matter along those lines or intersections for more dynamic images) instead of in the center of the image. Cropping also eliminates the excessive amount of background that is not contributing to the image. By placing the fish on the left third, it gives him/her some "swimming room" to the right.

That is much better! And not off topic either, helping is what we are all about. Come on people, show your interesting or goofy fish poses! We all know you have some!

Not off topic at all. The picture looks much better. I knew it needed cropping but I probably would have centered it more. I was not familiar with the "rule of thirds" concept. I can see how it adds interest to this photo. Thanks

Always glad to help. Here is an illustration of the Rule of Thirds to help you better understand.
