Need advice

Hello I got free tank from my buddy moved out of state and has a lot expensive fish in it they been fine sence we moved it to my house but out of nowhere notice spots on 3fish so my question is should I tear down tank put all fish in qt it’s a lot of fish in big display tank I can qt fish I’m able to do that I have two extra tanks for qt but just nerves on what to do I mean I no in this hobby you loss stuff but I’ve seen videos on saved fish but just going crazy over here

Firstly, welcome to Reef2Reef! Do you have pictures of the fish that you can share here or in the fish disease section of this forum? Do you have a local fish store (LFS) or any local hobbyist that can reach out to?

Hey @tony 45 welcome to the salty family! Pics would help for sure. Can you share more about their behavior and condition of the system overall? Are any of the fish scratching, gasping for air or acting strangely? @Peace River is correct, there are some good LFS in the Tampa area. We're hear to help!

I agree with @Peace River Being thrown into this is a daunting task and perhaps someone can help you for the time being. However, we’re here to help if you have the time and patience to proceed. It can be hard to deal with at first but not impossible

Fish appears to have ich and noticeable also toon its eyes. It will of course need quarantining and treatment would be safest using copper safe
