need cl water flow ideas

iam going back to sand from bb....the two cl i have now one goes down the back of the diamond shape tank,two in off the bottom and flow across the bottom of the tank under the egg crate that the lr is on, and the other cl alternates from left to right at the top of the tank on each side blowing down, what is the ideal setup to use before i add the sand up to the egg crate..here is a bad pic of what i started with years ago

well power heads are ideal not closed loop..."energy wise"
but with a sand bed i would'nt use the one blowing down from the top it will most likely cloud things up...you also dont want to be pushing surface skim back down into the water colum either..are you gonna run a skimmer and sump???

its a bb setup now, been that way for years...just need the best cl design for what iam working with now
