Need help asap *impulse buy* need to know if it was a mistake before i put it in

I bought a longnose hawkfish today on impulse which I NEVER do... I'm worried he'll ruin my tank chemistry. Everything is happy now. I have a hippo tang, yellow tang, fairy wrasse, bangai cardinal, and 2 clowns. My worry are my 2 cleaner shrimp and peppermint shrimp. Is this a bad idea? Please help me ASAP, he's still in the bag. Thank You!

Longnose Hawks are great well behaved fish. I think you picked up a good pal!

Ok, do you have any experience with them and shrimp and clams?

shrimp will be fine. small gobies or anything that can fit in its mouth is a no no.

+1 to the above. Mine was abou3 3.5 inches and didnt bother a thing.... but he would take down whole silversides so I can only assume trimma cana would be lunch.

Ok Thank You guys, I feel better now... I love my cleaner shrimp pair... I'm nervous about it but I trust people who have done it before so I'll give it a go

I had a lantern basslet and neon dottyback as well... with cleaner shrimp and a harlequin.

i had one in my tank with cleaner shrimp and clams with no prob also had a pixy hawk with him. until he went carpet surfing

Mine used to try and battle my cleaner all the time is was pretty entertaining. So i think he may try but cleaners are usually too big for them
