I currently have 2 clowns, 6 line wrasse and a chalk basslet in my IM 20 peninsula.

Plus a cleaner shrimp.

They all get along great with no signs of aggression.

This is in my office so I’m waiting to do corals.

I’m wanting to add a sand sifting goby and shrimp pair.

I’d love a flameback angle as well.... but it’d be too much I think.

Any thoughts?

Question about which order to add fish
New Red Sea 350 Reef tank
Looking at
Chromisx3
Small clown pair at maybe 6 mo with anemone
Banded pajama cardinal
Potter’s angel
Coral beauty/keyhole angel
Sand sifting goby
Yellow tang
Bristletooth two spot tang
Possibly a fairy wrase

IMO I would ditch one of the tangs, preferably the yellow tang because it gets bigger. Two tangs in a tank that size may lead to fighting. I wouuld also drop the keyhole angel as they get bigger and is less reef safe. IME chromis fight each other until there is 1 left. I would just stick with 1.

Other than that I would go:
Chromis
Cardinal
Clownfish
Goby
Potters
Coral Beauty
Wrasse
Tang

Your tank is pretty much stocked but if there is space and your parameter is stable then it is ok.
Yes an angel is a little too much.
When you say sand shifting goby and shrimp, im assuming shrimp gobies and pistol shrimp and not a diamond goby who does not pair.
any shrimp goby would do.

So I have a 36 gallon bow front with a 10 gallon sump, total water volume is probably around 40 gallons. I have 2 perculas that are paired up and one 4 stripe damsel. Im thinking about getting a yellow coris wrasse. What's everyone's thoughts? Will it work out? Tank is about 2 years old and I have a 2" sand bed. Thanks in advance.
That's a small tank for a 4 stripe damsel and other fish. They can get very aggressive. It may or may not work out with a yellow coris.
Hey I have a large purple tang also a yellow eye tangs in my 125. With some other small fish. Question is that could I add a maculiceps tang.
Maculiceps do get big, and a 125g does not give much front-to-back swimming space.
Hello i have a 30 galon cube with 2 clown fish, was wondering if i can add a 6 line wrasse and a green wrasse together? Would they fight each other or would they be peaceful? i was reading green wrasse are peaceful any help would be great before i make any purchase.
Green wrasses get massive and are NOT peaceful. Sixlines can also be problematic to future additions.
Hello!
I have a 65g with a 30g sump...mixed reef
I have a reef octopus octo essence 130 skimmer and a fuge with calpera

current fish:
3 bg chromis
midas blenny
false perc

Do you think it would be okay to get another fish?
If your parameters are stable, yes you should be able to get another fish.

Good evening!
I just got a melanarus wrasse a week ago and it comes out only when lights are off in the daytime. When lights are on it’s nowhere to be found. Is this normal?
Fairly normal as it adjusts to your lighting schedule, unless there is something in the tank that is keeping it in hiding. What are the tankmates?

Hello!
I have a 40g only softies
skimmer rated to 60g

current fish:
2 clownfish
1 firefish
1 starry blenny

its ok to add a lemon peel angel and a small chromi? or lemon peel with six line wrasse
Lemonpeel angels need a bigger tank.

A chromis should be fine.

A sixline will problematic with the firefish.
I have a question about order to add fish
Looking at
Clown pair around 6mo
Sand sifting goby
potters angel
Coral beauty/keyhole angel
Green chromisx3
Yellow tang
Bristletooth two spot tang
Possibly a fairy wrasse
Looking to add 1 fish/mo and doing coral after 4-6 mo.

I have a Red Sea 350 for setup
Choose only 1 angel and 1 tang for that tank to prevent aggression.

Some have reported chromis killing each other off.

Between the clowns, goby, chromis and fairy wrasse the order doesn't matter. Follow all of these with the angel, and last add the tang.

Any of the angels are a risk with coral.

That tank is too small for an angel. It is also too small with the fish currently in there for a sand sifter.

Maculiceps tangs get absolutely gigantic, reaching well over a foot long. If you have filtration that can tolerate something that big and if you are very confident in your fish keeping abilities, go for it, but I think it would be better off in a 180 gallon tank.
Good to know, thanks. So with in the next two years I am building a new house with a new 300 gallon tank.

Fairly normal as it adjusts to your lighting schedule, unless there is something in the tank that is keeping it in hiding. What are the tankmates?

Tank mates are blue green chromis, pajama cardinal, banggai cardinal, blue tang, maroon clown with yellow stripes, magnificent foxface.
The wrasse comes out every morning and swims around hunting and picking everywhere but when lights come on at 1 pm it disappears. The clown has not been aggressive to any tankmates so far. Clown was added about 2 weeks before the wrasse.

Lemonpeel angels need a bigger tank.

Hello guys,

I’m about to add a regal angel into my mixed reef. I have a couple prized lps in there that I’m worried about. I know regal is known to be Zoa nippers.

I have blastos, mushroom and some chalices. Do you think those corals will be ok?

Thanks a lot!

Steven

Regals are hit-and-miss. I have had regals eat chalice's, fleshy brains, closed brains, and zoas. It's definitely a risk.

Will a springeri dottyback and a royal gramma be likely to get along? I'd like one of each in my 32 but some dim memory from the depths of my brain is telling me I think I've heard dottybacks and grammas might not get along.

Those 2 species will NOT work in 32g.

Pseudocheilinus aren't just aggressive to other wrasses, they can often be aggressive to dragonets as well.

There are a lot of fish compatible with your stock. Fish such as dartfish, midas blenny, anthias, royal gramma, purple tilefish, among others would all work.

Some Cirrhilabrus to avoid include: scott's, whipfin, and naokoae.

I’ve never heard of the purple tilefish. That is a beautiful fish! Definitely want to add that one. Thank you for your help!
