Need Help Marine Betta

I had em for three weeks, notice it was not eating and saw some sort of white by hits fin gills.

Please help, it’s really weak now and I hate to lose em.

Its hard to tell, rn im on your phone, but is that a mucus build up on the gills? How long have you noticed the symptoms? What are your water params?

My salinity is good. 1.025 , as for other I haven’t tested yet.

Yes , I have two anemone.
I have a mystery wrasse and Picasso Clown. No issues, with other fish.

I would test ammonia ASAP. I suspect ammonia burn. How long has the tank been set up?

Tank has been set up over year and half.

How do you get ammonia ?

Well likely not ammonia if tank has been up that long and has established biofilter/cycled.

Did you QT at all?

No Qt , I have a biocube. 29 gal

It’s stressed, anything to do to save it ? Water change ? Feeding ?

Betta didn’t make it . Exploded over night. Mouth and gills wide open. So bummed right now

Sucks, I lost a great potential fish plus sucks throwing money down the toilet.

I waited over a year to find one and after three weeks. Done.

I had a Marine Betta few years Ago, nice big size, he was like a puppy to me. Let me pet em, ate from my hand. Always out during the day. Had to sell him due to baby and downsized my tank.

Feeling bummed now.

Sorry for the loss. Any explanation at this point would be guesswork...but my guess is bacterial infection.
