I bought 2 used RMS mounts to go on my standard 90 gallon tank. When they arrived they didn't fit the rim of the tank. After looking at the manual it seems that there is an adapter or something that goes in for the RMS mounts to work on rimmed tanks. Does anyone have 2 of these that they are not using??

Thanks!

Do you have an image of the part?

Yep, familiar with those. You may be able to get them reasonably cheap from EcoTech directly?
That was my thought as well. They said they could round up 1 of them, but didn't have 2 lol. I just thought someone on here with a rimless tank may have a few sitting in a closet somewhere collecting dust lol

Do they come with all the RMS mounts, if so I probably have them in the box at home, I'll check tonight, if I do, you can have them, just pay for the freight and I'm good with that.

That would certainly be easy enough to print, you could also just improvise it pretty quickly out of stuff you have around the house or can get at a hardware store.
If you have a jigsaw, you could cutup an old HDPE cutting board for the spacers with a template so they look the same.
you could also get extruded PVC ceiling tile or the PVC lumber that's now available at hardware stores to make the parts out of.

My understanding is yes, they come with the spacer that goes under the rim of the tank. However if you have a rimless tank you probably would have never noticed them. Again this is all what I have figured out in just a day of research, so I am not willing to die on this mountain lol.

Super cool idea, but it would probably just wind up being cheaper to find someone to ship them. If all else fails though....

just in case:
they have black ceiling tile but you have to get a 2'x4' one for $16.

those can be cut with a razor-blade.
I've made all sorts of things out of them... filter floss rollers, light shades, algae scrubber cases, overflows and overflow boxes... glue with CA or PVC glue. take Krylon well too.

I will check tonight and mail them out today if I have them. I'll know in 6 hours
