Need help with your aquascape?

Too much rock and too dense. Think open floor plan with shelves and swim room. Coral will fill in and provide plenty of place to hide.

I don't think my pictures did it justice. There are a lot of swim through spaces and openings you can't see through because they turn. I'll see what actually transfers when the tank arrives sometime today. Thanks for your thoughts.

I would say still too much rock, think more open space. It will actually give you more space for coral and flow, the fish will be happier too.

I can't really tell from the photo, but take care to keep the top of the stack well below the 2/3rds water level.

Since I'm getting back into it after 18+ years I was thinking zoas, mushrooms, and an anemone to start. I'm just about the 2/3 level on the left and lower on the right. Plenty of ledges but limited with the rock I received.

Any additional suggestions with corals?

Sounds like the right species to start with. The fish are going to love the rock with all the hiding places. And for the soft corals that set up should do fine as well. It is a fair amount of rock which makes maintaining flow around the 'scape a tad challenging if you decide to and stony SPS that require more flow. But unless you go minimalist, it becomes a challenge over time anyway.

It a IM 15g cube ... inside dimension of the tank is 11.5" L x 14.50" W x 14.25" H ... but output pump hole is at around 13"

Highest point of scape is a little above 7" high

I love the idea. I have been wanting to setup a similar little tank with clown or 2 and maybe some shrimp.
Clownfish dont need much to keep them happy

Hey everyone!
I'm slowly making progress on my first ever aquascape, been chiseling/glueing all day lol. Do any glaring problems jump out to you guys? I was thinking I may run into flow issues in the middle and should remove some rock underneath in the back/sides to make more of an open arch. This is for a 25 lagoon with an mp10 for flow. I have plenty of room on all sides, this cardboard is much smaller than the actual tank floor plan. Excuse the quick crappy pics my hands are covered in glue (note to self, buy gloves).

The first one kinda looks like a big crab! Love it lol!

Been working on my 36 bowfront again, been working with a lot of small rubble pieces is it too much ATM thinking of trying to find some encrusting corals to grow over it all.

I've been working on my aquascape over the weekend but need some second opinions. I have a 40 gallon AIO so I was trying to use about 40lbs of rock but ended up using less and still thinking the tank may look too crowded.

What do you guys think?

How does this look?

This looks amazing. I‘m about to do a new scape using dry Marco rock. How did you secure your pieces? Did you use thick gel glue and mortar?

Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated

Need some feedback please. Love the Marco rock for the shapes and all the nooks porosity.

Tank is a 72x24x24 180g with a center overflow. Tank is acrylic and as such has 2x 23×12 openings with a wide brace in the center. Lighting will be 2x Kessil Ap9x. Thought was zoa garden on small islands, acans (lots of these ) in the center channel between the islands under the brace with room under the openings for higher lighting demand corals such as SPS in the future.

Fish plan is a pair of clownfish, a harem of 4-5 Lyretail Anthias, 3-4 tangs, Spottail Blenny, pair of swallowtail angels.

Height of the left side island is 12 inches and the right side is about 9 inches. Leaves 8 - 10 inches above for coral growth and swimming space. All rock to be a minimum of 4 inches away from all sides and back.
