I’m looking for opinions on my aquascape… any input is appreciated! I’m looking to do a mainly LPS tank with some SPS, softies and eventually a clam (way down the road). It’s a 210g Cade peninsula and I just got it set up yesterday and started the cycle. Thanks!!! (It’s 1/2 of a mirror display… I have the same 210g peninsula backed up to it with a predator tank)

Looking for some feedback on my latest aquascaping attempt for a new tank coming soon. I'm really trying to build for habitat and not sure if I've got that down or not. Tried to make plenty of caves and hiding spots, but unsure if I did so properly, large enough, etc. Tried to capture as many angles as possible in the video. Any feedback would be appreciated.

The video shows a much better perspective of all the places for fish to hide. Looks good.

I just finished the tank transfer/cycle from hell (a whole long story), going from a 36 gallon bowfront to a 90 gallon Aqua Japan.

Reused my existing Live Rock and a "Rock Tree"(?) that I got cheap. I put this aquascape together. I didn't like the way the Rock Tree looked (after liking it a lot when I bought it lol) so I tried to blend it in with everything else. There are 3 foundations (1 of which is the Rock Tree) and everything branches from those foundations and connects together.

I built it in a way that I would leave a large area in the middle for islands of coral.

Unfortunately it goes a little higher than I had hoped on the left side of the tank but that was how I thought it fit together best with the height of the rock tree.

Thoughts? Ideas for improvements? Do I need more hiding spots?

Thinking to add more depth in the center and some more height behind the ledge. The two rock on the far side have corals that I plan to let take over the side walls. Left is a Pulsing Xenia and the right is a GSP.

Hi Everyone,

I’m looking for some advice/help with my current aqua scape. The tank is a little over a year old, and I have a few issues I’d like to address by fixing the layout of my rock work. Unfortunately, I’m not much of a visionary lol..

My current issues:

1. Flow - I have two 1600GPH powerheads (at 40% power) and a 350GPH Return in a 40G Breeder and I can’t seem to make everyone happy - the flow seems too strong regardless of placement. I think this may be due to my rock work being too high..? Is it the fact I have so many islands?

2. Limited coral placement locations. The flow just seems too strong in random/spotty locations that minimize where I can place corals.

3. An Abundance of GHA despite reduced feeding, consistent Phosgaurd changeout, 2x manual removal and filter sock changouts per week …. For 6 months and ongoing. I’d like to take the opportunity to removal all the rock and give a good scrub/water change!

4. Goes with #2 I guess, but I feel like I’m not getting the most out of the real estate.

Before I break this down, can anyone give advice/tips for rearranging the rocks? Should I break some of the larger pieces, or use them as the foundation?

Thanks in advance for any insights!!

I'm setting up a 5ft 120gallon, opinions wanted! I like the small left structure, lots of holes so it shouldn't be a low flow trap. The right structure however I'm worried I didn't leave enough flat surface area for sps.

What's are yall thoughts on my 75 on how to make it better? I was thinking long term the right could be a large birds of paradise colony, and the right/ middle gap could be a large weeping willow, but even knowing that, I'm not feeling it.

Looks good. The two big caves look a little out of place to me, but there's going to be lots of coral placement options there.
thank you very mcuh the cave looking structure are arches with a lot of open spaces and i do like the fact for a lots of coral placement

I'd put some more rock on the right side of the tank. I'd also do a fair amount more. You're going to want the top of the rock to be at least half as tall as the tank itself, or even a little higher.

Sounds good it’s more difficult than the videos lol but I’ll be getting it done today and post some more pics. I still have a bunch of rock and a donut rock and another arch
