Thanks for the suggestions so far but there is absolutely no purple in the tips... more like a ruby red and body has slight green.

any other suggestions?

If your looking for the proper name I'd say you need more time to see growth formation, possibly the same if you want to know if it's a named coral. Other wise a rose doesn't need a name to smell good!

Hello everyone...
not to resurrect an old thread but its been a bit over a year and the growth has been amazing on this coral. I plan to shoot a video of it and I have checked from time to time on what could be the possible ID on this thing with no luck. I have given up trying to ID it. LOL

Since everyone that sees this thing asks me what is the name of this coral and sick of always telling them... I am not sure?

I am now officially naming it the "CoralCruz Sapphire Flame Acropora" ;Smug

Hopefully it will become evident why I chose this name. I will get a link to the video shortly if anyone is interested.

Honestly, I am not happy with the color rendition because my kessils put out alot of UV which shows up as pink... the sand is white of course. Also, the growth tips are blue and appear white in the video. AND...the video appears out of focus which is a limitation of the camera unfortunately. None-the-less I hope everyone enjoys it! just having some fun.

I will update with new pics which hopefully will show truer colors.
