I’m looking for light hanging inspiration. I have a 6’ tank. 3 Red Sea 90s over it and don’t want a canopy. Stand is black and I thought just black chains with black brackets would look good but I’m not to thrilled with it.
Please post pictures of your lights please.

I am doing this for my reefleds too. The hanging kits are taking forever to get here though. What's it like having them hung? Does it effect the light area/intensity? How's your coral growth? Any shimmer effects?

I'm not a diy guy so its not the most attractive, but no one looks up at the ceiling anyway, they all look at the tank. 😎 The wires are retractable for maintenance, I bought the hanging kit from home depot.

I hung them at the recommended height from Red Sea. Great coral growth. There is a little shimmer but not as much as I thought there would be.
The great thing about the hanging kits is you can angle the lights easily.
Another big bonus of hanging them with no canopy is easy access to feed or whatever. I do however have mesh tops on all 3 sections but they aren’t noticeable and light goes through easily.
