A good salt helps I us ebrightwell red sea and other name brands are good toI agree. What salt do you use? A salt mix geared towards reef tanks aka higher calcium, magnesium, stronium, and iodine levels would be more useful to you if you will continue to add more softies.
Agreed on any salt can work. I just find with the coral pro my perameters are usually very close without need for much dosing other than kalk. But with weekly water changes watever salt used will b pretty easy.Until you test ALK, CAL, Nitrate, and phosphate's were all just guessing.
And LOL on switching salts....
Salt is salt, use whatever you want. You salt mix does not determine your level of success. It can effect the above levels, but will not determine if you succeed or not. Some of the best looking reefs in the world use regular, cheap, old Instant Ocean.
