I will be working on this tomorrow. It is my understanding the best way to control the basic on/off function of my calcium reactor is to have the Neptune use an alkalinity flag/range.

Is this correct

Your wording is interesting. Are you saying to have the Neptune control the co2 solonoid based on the alkalinity read from the trident? If that’s the case, no I don’t think that’s how most people run their CARX.

Most people use a pH probe to control the co2 reg solonoid.

I think the only thing I would do is set up an alarm, in case the pH goes nutty on you. Too high or too low. You can also set it so the CO2 shuts off if it goes too low and melts your media. Other than that, I wouldn't do a thing besides monitoring the pH within the reactor. The key is to have the CO2 on 24/7 with a steady feed pump and set your bubble count to your desired alk. Two things to invest in are a reliable feed pump and a well made dual stage regulator. I'm not a carbon doser fan, so I had a custom dual stage regulator made for me and it was money well spent.
