Looking good! Great progress. I remember drilling my first tank. It was extremely nerve wracking, especially since it wasn't mine. Best of luck moving forward.

Thank you! Ya I was pretty darn nervous. So far no leaks!

For right now this is what I am thinking...

Fish Wish List:

School of Bicolor Chromis
Lamarck's Angelfish
Midas Blenny (one of the first saltwater fish I ever got)
Some gobies (thinking some goby and shrimp pairing)
Foxface Lo (Finally going to try my first one)
Tang - I haven't chosen which one yet. I have typically had Yellows and Koles . I am thinking of maybe doing something different this time. Any ideas?
And the fish that I have been wanting to have for a looong time. Harlequin Tusk :)

Corals:

I am going to try and do a Caribbean feel similar to what I saw diving. Going to try a lot of gorgs, some softies, montis, and what I really want to find is a good size brain. Like a softball size would be amazing. I don't know where I'd find something that large, but it'd be sweet. I saw amazing HUGE brain corals in the Caribbean. I also saw a ecoxotic video where they had a good size brain coral which looked great as a show piece.

Oh man . I can tell it has been a while since starting a new tank. My impatience is growing already now that I have the water and rock in!

lol Ya I am a little worried about that, but the more I have been reading some people's experiences with them the more I hear that if I feed him enough it should be alright. Should is the keyword there.

Diatoms are here! Cycle seems to be going well. These guys have popped up around the tank starting two days ago.

so diatoms have erupted! :) cloudiness is still a little high . Don't really understand that one. I did more testing today and I was completely flabbergasted by the results. Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 5 . This doesn't make sense at all after only 10 days.

Ok so since the readings showed what they did and I have a tank full of diatoms, I added some snails. I added some Florida Ceriths, drawf Ceriths and some nerites. All of the Floridas died, the drawves are good and the nerites are mixed. I have never had snails die so quickly. I tested KH today as well. It is at 8dkh. Any ideas? Also the cloudiness is strange. I may just be on too high of alert, but this is the strangest cycle I've had. @Randy Holmes-Farley do you have any ideas? Thank you!

Would test again or bring water to lfs and have them test it. It took about a month and a week for my cloudy water to go away most likely a bacteria bloom.

I moved to Tennessee, so it is in the midst of an overhaul lol. Everything is crammed into 2 40g breeders until my new RO system arrives, then I will get the 110 back up and running. It will bounce back eventually :)
