Got a bunch of frags from world wide coral and one completely bleached overnight. What could be the reason? RTN?

dang really??? This was my first try at acros ):

Alk - 9
Cal - 500
Mag - 1450
Phos - 0.04
Nitrate - 26 (working on lowering)
PAR 400
seems like u went for tenuis, the hardest to keep acros, I would find somebody on here who would ship u some tester acros for cheap(I dont have a colony, yet), but somebody did that for me, and now I can keep tenuis :D
look into green Bali slime, bonsai, birds nest, miyagi tort and other easy ones.
how long has tank been setup?
params seem good

I do have some other SPS in the tank that have been good for a few months. Maybe it’s because my tank is too new but I’m going on seven months.

oh, some of those r tenuis
well then, idk what else to say besides nice acros and good job! imma let the pros weigh in now :D

RTN isn't a cause it's a symptom. It's like saying a plant died of yellow leaves... who knows why it died. It may have been on the way out from the moment they fragged it. Don't take it personally.

Lol I know it’s the symptom. But I’m wondering what caused RTN

What about the Ph in your tank? Flow?
Any fluctuations in your parameters or have they been steady?
You said you dipped your coral. What did you use to dip? Did anything come off of them when you dipped them?
Anything in your tank that could be bothering them?

I'm listing this article below done by @Reefer Matt, this provides a good overview of care related to sps coral.

I was having no luck keeping acros until I turned DOWN my lights to about 250 par. Can’t tell you how many frags I killed. I’ve had my latest batch going for a month or so and they look great. I’m considering increasing lights super slowly over time at this point.

I think 400 par is pretty high, its not too high, its just that many don't keep their lights that bright. Its always best to ask the par level from where you bought it from, so you have an idea of how long to light-acclimate them.

But for 400 par, you should set them on the sand for a few days, then move them midway up for a week or two, and then put them up top if you want. I have metal hallides, this is how I acclimate my sps and acros

New additions may not have been used to 400 PAR. Recall WWC mentioning tanks at 250 or somewhere in the vicinity.

I try to only by frags that are encrusting onto the plug. The stress of shipping, different parameters and lighting can be an issue IME. My experience is limited but I've had more RTN on fresh cut frags than ones that are encrusting. I try not to even order online unless it's wysiwyg pieces.
I've have had pieces that look healthy and have been in the tank for a while RTN overnight so it may not be anything you did.

I was late for a meeting in my first reply but now that I read all of the other responses, I agree with Mojo. 400 par is kind of high to start with that. I usually start my frags in the sand for a week let then get used to the par and Spectrum and then I move them up to their spots.
