Hello so I have a reefer 900 and mostly soft coral and lps no sps yet as I have never had hug success with them before but I am going to try a calcium reactor as my Alk and calcium are getting to the point of needing extra supplement. I have very little success with dosing in the past so I think a calcium reactor would be best I am wanting to know if I can put acros in the tank right after setting up the calcium reactor or will they all go down hill. Or should I add them a few days before setting up the rectors? (I don’t want to give up on sps!)

I would wait until you can dial in the new reactor and achieve stability within .5 dkh variance throughout the day. A calcium reactor itself is not a magic bullet that helps with SPS success. Seek stability whether with dosing or a calcium reactor.

Should I add 1 frag at a time for like 4 or 5 frags?
Once you get the hang of the Reactor I don't think you will have a problem with multiple frags as frags are not going to take a lot of calcium at first. As they grow you will adjust the reactor to keep up

I have a apex and trident with a ph prob that will be in the reactor and one outside the reactor
This is the best method that I ever used. Don’t tap your manifold just use the Sicce .5 as your feed pump.

Here’s the constant stream size than you want

Have your trident reading control your co2 solenoid

Can you post the trident settings to control a cal reactor’s solenoid?

I’ve seen it done in 2019, but all the typed in fallback settings looked really confusing… ;Wacky
