New candy cane /trumpet help

This coral has been in the tank since Sunday. All the other corals have opened and look great. Candy cane is still not wanting to bubble fully. Advice?

Try giving it some more light. It’s not exactly a low light coral. Also, your tank looks really new. Less likely, but maybe it’s starved of nutrients?

Thanks!! I'll move it out more. And yes it is a new tank. These are my starter corals. But I am feeding brine and mysis mix every night. And i could spot feed it if needed.

Move the candy cane out till it can see its own shadow… if that’s not the trick, move it somewhere with more or less flow.
Let it acclimate and chill before spot feeding. Also Id suggest a food like Reef Roids or comparable for spot feeding corals - easier to digest.

Sounds good. Candy cane is impossible to kill, so I'm sure it'll do great for you, especially with the feeding.

Okay moved him out after everyone suggested it. One head doing fine and feeding other has yet to open up still looks ticked.

Like above, make sure it has sufficient light, medium flow. It is a hardy coral.

I have had a Candy Cane look horrible after a high metal contamination in the tank. I kept the skeleton with barely any flesh left. Today it looks great, growings new heads.

Thanks. Just not sure what's bothering it. Everything else is happy and I just fed and all responded with sweepers that one just looks bad on the left

Had mine sitting at bottom of tank 90-110par for 2 weeks then moved it up 1/3 of the way 110-140par now sitting 2/3 of the way up on my rock sitting in 150-180par looking great.

Just let it adjust and settle then move it up on your rock work towards your desired location

I'm thinking it may have damaged the skeleton in the car somehow. Because it looks like it's trying to feed just doesnt have support

It still looks fine to me. I wouldn’t worry about it man, corals usually need a few days to get settled in. It’s just shriveled up now because it’s in night mode.

calc and mg should be pretty close to what is base for instant ocean reef because i dont have many things using it and water changes 45ml every 2 hours.
run activated carbon poly floss bio balls and cheato refuge ( just started this last week)
lights are ai16hd primes x2 running moon phase from 1100pm to 8am and 3hr ramp up and down 9 hr peak run.
UV 122 V 116 RB 81 B 82 G 5 R 5 MOON 44 CW 98 ( peak) ( moonlight is blue rb and moonlight )

dipped the coral in coral rx for 5 min prior to adding. and did a 20 min acclimation.

You shouldn't have any nitrite in there...not sure how much nitrite you need to harm corals. How old is the tank?

just finished cycle day before fathers day. retesting nitrites tonight. expecting 0 on it as its been dropping fast.
