New frag tank light

So I just got a 10" deep 2'x4' frag tank. I bought a four bulb t5 fixture that will house ATI blue+ bulbs. How high above the surface of the water should I place the light?

Would be better to have a 6 bulb fixture instead only 4 bulbs.
11" max. from the water surface.
Why only 4 bulbs?

I got it for a really good price, I'll probably end up adding another fixture at a later time
