Sorry for the double post. I think I posted this in the wrong category earlier. I bought some Ocean Wonders frag tiles and put them in my frag tank 2 days ago. I took one out tonight to trim some birdnest up to put on plugs. The whole frag popped off the tile and there was this orange residue that seems stained on the tile. This orange was not on the superglue or coral.

Is this normal? Should I remove all of them from my tank?

We go through a lot of frag plugs and discs. I noticed the same rust colored stains on one type of disc. that we got from BRS. At first I thought it was rust but it is really some type of reaction between the Super Glue gel and the disc. That is all I know.
Cheers! Mark

Some of my frag plugs get that spot too. I don’t worry about it because they were in the tank for a couple weeks before I noticed it, when I removed the frag from the plug, to put it into the display area.

I was thinking also. One side is smooth and the other side is rough with a sand layer. I glued to the smooth side. Wonder if I should try the rough side?

Possibly. I left that side down for a better grip in the tank but maybe it is meant for the glue side? I will reach out to them directly.

Id glue it to the other side for more surface area grip, personally.
