Hello my name is Alek. After 10 long years tankless I have just started up a 75 gallon mixer reef tank. Right now I have a penn 1200 elite canister running and am running a fish less cycle. I have a 300w heater with 70 pound of dry rock and about 2-2.5 inches of black Hawaiian live agrrigate sand. I have a Nero -5 wavemaker on the way and depending on the performance will add another if necessary. My lighting plans are 2 kessil 360x ( but am saving up so that’s 2 months away) I will be setting up a custom 20 gallon refugium with an overflow box as I cannot drill the aquarium. I am looking for simple pluming advice( what kind of materials, best overflow return combo, how much flow should I have, how to prevent disaster floods) I don’t have specifics on equipment yet but the plan is to put the refugium below/behind the tank. I have begun the process of cycling the tank with an ammonium chloride. But the one thing I have gained in the past ten years is patience so I am taking everything very slowing and giving myself plenty of time. Basically I just wanted to say hi and I’m very excited to be part of R2R
