Does this Maxima clam i just got look healthy? It's 2.5" in the top of my 24gal Auquatop. It's been in my tank for 48 hours or so now. Just worried about the light it may or may not be getting.

I do not, and I do not have access or mo eyes to get one. I have a Prime 16 HD light. These are the settings per my LFS, these were his recommended settings for all the LPS I have in the tank.Do you have a par meter and know what par it is sitting in?
It's at the top of the tank on rock, not attached. Just put it up at the top today roughly 7 hours ago. Has quick reaction time, just was worried it was gaping. As this is a first for me for a clam. Got birthday corals and it was one of them. This is the tank, the light is roughly 10 inches from the clam, probably less. You def need to watch, monitor, possibly dose for alk and ca. The clam is open the correct amount, but they can take a bit of light and usually go up on rocks . Is it attached? Does it react to movement above it? What are the lights above it and distance? Any coral in the tank?
What would you recommend I dose for Alk and ca? As in product. This is my current schedule and last spin test result from 3 weeks ago or so.You def need to watch, monitor, possibly dose for alk and ca. I take back my statement about the light height. It's probably 18" from the clamYou def need to watch, monitor, possibly dose for alk and ca. What is AFR?The chemistry looks good. For maintenance I like AFR. Keep the clam up high in an stable area, get a clam cradle or shell to place the clam in if it doesn't attach.
Remember clams require significantly more lighting than LPS. If you can increase the intensity slowly (acclimate) I would.
It's easy on small tanks for your primary needs. AFR and water changes could be all you need. Just monitor the levels. My wife got me a Christmas eve maxima on a 3 month old tank. That was over 2 years ago and the clam has grown a ton.Used that instead of all the other products?
Good to hear, I'll keep to my current dosing and look to adding AFR maybe once a week and do some testing after to see how my chemistry looks. It's easy on small tanks for your primary needs. That's good to hear, I will plan on moving to that as I run out of my other chemicals. The clam looks very good to me.
Par should ideally be around 300-400 and Alkalinity should be kept from 7-11dKH.
I suggest All For Reef. It maintains alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and even adds trace elements in a single solution. Use it to maintain alkalinity, and the rest of the parameters will be maintained without testing necessary.
