Aww man, sorry to hear this doc. Hopefully you'll get to the other side soon enough. I've followed your journey since it started and will continue as you push through. Best of luck. Let us know what we can do to help.
Thank you! Hopefully everything works out?

Dang talk about bad luck! Why do you think you got it?
Not sure? It started with ick on my PBT a few weeks ago, and then slowly spread from there. Not all the fish are affected. The ick is mostly limited to my tangs, except for the orange shoulder. And the velvet seems limited to my angels and yellow tang.

Oh man, sucks but thanks for sharing. I have fish in hypo now and will treat with copper too after hearing your story. Keep the faith.

After your treatment in the display will you replace all the substrate and rock?

Thanks! Yes, I most likely will have to since the rocks and substrate will be leaching copper for some time. I would have removed the rocks and substrate first if I had enough time. But with velvet you don't have much time!

Hope things are doing OK Doc
Thanks for asking! Ick and velvet is completely gone and all the fish are doing ok! Just have to maintain copper levels for the next few weeks and keep my fingers crossed!

Update: During the copper treatment of my DT to eradicate ick and velvet, I decided it was a good time to make a few changes to my livestock to minimize aggression from some of the large tangs. I removed and gave to a friend my large Sohal, Purple and Blond naso tangs. I also moved my medium-large Powder blue tang to my home system. As this was also a good time to add new less aggressive smaller fish, I added back a smaller Powder Blue tang, medium-large Achilles tang, and 4 Lyretail anthias (1 male, 3 females). To avoid aggression from adding the 2 new tangs, the remaining Orange shoulder and Yellow tangs were temporarily moved to the sump. I have already removed most of the copper from the system and all fish appear to be disease free and doing well. It will be some time before I can remove all traces of copper and replace corals.
